About FoldTender
Why FoldTender Exists
FoldTender began with a simple problem: finding the right animal locally was surprisingly difficult.
Listings were scattered across poorly managed social media pages, incomplete classifieds, and outdated farm websites. Important information was often missing: pedigrees, records, even clear photos. At first glance, it could look like a lack of care.
But after speaking directly with breeders, it became clear that wasn't the issue at all.
Breeders were incredibly passionate about their animals and their programs. The problem wasn't care. It was the overwhelming number of places breeders were expected to maintain at once.
The real burden breeders were carrying
Many farms today are trying to manage all of this while also doing the real work of farming and caring for animals.
Selling a single animal often meant posting the same information in several different places and hoping the right buyer eventually found it.
It became obvious that the system itself was the problem.
There had to be a simpler way.
The Idea Behind FoldTender
What if nearly everything breeders needed lived in one place?
Instead of maintaining many small spaces across the internet, breeders could manage their entire program in one organized platform.
Manage animals and pedigrees
Keep each animal profile organized with lineage, photos, and core identifying details.
Store documentation and records
Health records, documents, and program details stay attached to the animal instead of scattered across systems.
List animals for sale with a single click
Go from animal record to public listing without rebuilding the same information in multiple places.
Transfer animals and records to new owners
When an animal sells, its information and history can move with it.
Buyers can find the animals they are searching for, and breeders can present their programs clearly without needing to maintain complicated websites or scattered listings.
Designed to Simplify the Process
Built to work alongside registries, not replace them
FoldTender is not meant to replace the official registries breeders rely on. Those organizations play an important role in maintaining breed standards and lineage records.
Instead, FoldTender is designed to work alongside them.
The goal is to reduce the number of systems breeders need to manage from many scattered platforms to just two primary places:
Everything else becomes optional.
Breeders can still share animals on social media or other platforms if they choose, but the core information about their animals and program already lives in one organized place.
Built for Breeders, Not Middlemen
Keep the sale. Keep the relationship. Keep the records.
FoldTender does not take a percentage of your sales.
Breeders arrange payment however they prefer through the platform or directly with buyers.
The only cost is a small monthly subscription that helps keep the platform running and improving.
Every dollar you make from selling your animals remains yours.
To make sure breeders have time to see the value, every new account includes a 90-day trial before the first payment is ever required.
Ideally, by the time that first payment arrives, you've already bought or sold animals through the platform and covered the cost.
Our Goal
Make buying and selling animals simpler
Less chaos.
Less duplication of work.
Less confusion.
Just one place to manage your animals, your records, and your sales so you can focus on what really matters: building the breeding program you care about.
Growing With the Community
FoldTender will keep expanding with breeder feedback
New species and tools will be added over time, and breeder feedback plays a huge role in shaping the platform's future.
If you raise a species that isn't currently supported, let us know. We're always adding to the list.
